Our philosophy is that children learn to fight so they don’t have to fight. Bullying, low self-esteem and anxiety are all challenges that can be improved with Martial Arts training.

Children can expect to learn Kempo boxing, traditional weaponry and self-defense skills at class. Kempo boxing combines Chinese Gung Fu (Kung Fu) and Western boxing skills to develop footwork, body shifting, coordination, fitness and fighting skills.

Traditional weaponry such as Nanchuku, long and short staffs and Tonfa, is a popular component of our classes. Very few people in New Zealand teach children Martial Arts weaponry so we are proud that we can offer this exciting and dynamic training to local children. Self-defense skills start at a physical level and build towards improved awareness, focus and instincts.

Within weeks of training, we see students improve their mental focus, confidence and self-discipline.

Leadership skills can be developed further within our Leadership and Instructor Training modules that are offered to children wanting to become more effective leaders in and out of our School.

No classes in the school holidays.

On Monday & Wednesday afternoons we train at the Titirangi Memorial Hall, and on Saturday mornings at Kaurilands School Hall. Please click here to see our timetable.
